CANJELAE
Delivering a vocally potent elixir of passion and mystique, Canjelae is widely recognized as Bermuda’s princess and regarded as the islands’ best kept secret. Her music is a seamless blend of her West Indian culture and her love for RnB, Pop and Jazz.
Canjelae discovered her love for music after a teacher discovered her singing in the bathroom stall. After that day she performed from church pulpits to concerts for the leaders of Bermuda, winning local and international talent competitions. After attending the renowned Berklee College of Music on Scholarship she truly began to cultivate her sound. In 2018, Canjelae’s song ‘Sum Of Us’ was featured on the soundtrack of the UK’s biggest film of the year “The Intent 2: The Come Up.” To add to her budding opportunities, she lent her voice to an international Dior holiday campaign and was featured in a Pyer Moss campaign shot for Elle Magazine. In 2020, Canjelae released “Cave Cover” a project featuring reimagined covers and original songs leading to over 1 million streams across all platforms.
In 2022, Canjelae will unleash her highly anticipated first full-length project. The project will invite listeners to embark on a melodic journey of original songs featuring Jacob Latimore, TK Kravitz, Kevin Ross, and more. Maybe it’s the island sun or maybe it’s Canjelae.
Musically, Canjelae draws listeners into a world of her own and welcomes you to explore this magical place in her first full length project, Cave Covers: Deluxe Edition, set for release in 2023. The project will invite listeners to embark on an 16-track melodic journey of reimagined covers and original songs featuring Jacob Latimore, TK Kravitz, Kevin Ross, and more
